When measuring harmonics generated from devices such as radios with a spectrum analyzer (specan), the analyzer itself can generate harmonics by receiving the fundamental wave, which can lead to significant measurement errors, especially when measuring low-level harmonics. This high-pass filter for harmonic measurement removes the fundamental wave and allows harmonics to pass through, thereby reducing the input of the fundamental wave to the spectrum analyzer and also decreasing the harmonics generated by the analyzer.
